Acronis Cyber Protect offers a rich set of features covering the five essential phases of cyber protection: prevention, detection, response, recovery and investigation. Key features include:

  • Backup and restore: secure, immutable backups, rapid restoration, continuous data protection and analysis of backups to eliminate malware before restoration.
  • Advanced cybersecurity: AI-based anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-ransomware and anti-crypto-piracy, endpoint detection and response (EDR), URL filtering, and global threat monitoring.

Acronis Cyber Protect Advanced offers additional features compared to the Standard edition, such as centralized backup plan management, tape backup, SAN storage snapshots, Acronis Notary and Acronis ASign. For hypervisors, an Advanced license is required for XenServer, KVM, RHV and Oracle VM Server, while a Standard license can be used for VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V and Virtuozzo. The choice will depend on the company’s specific needs in terms of advanced features and hypervisor environment.

  • Cloud deployment: The management server is hosted in one of Acronis’ secure data centers. The advantage is that there’s no local server maintenance to manage. It is ideal for Mac-only environments or with a single Mac to back up, and does not include all the features of the Advanced edition at present.
  • On-site deployment: All solution components are installed on the company’s local network. This method is necessary if the machines are not connected to the Internet.

Acronis Cloud Storage is an external storage option that backs up data in Acronis secure data centers. It is offered in the form of subscription licenses based on required storage capacity. It can store backups for an unlimited number of machines and mobile devices, and the quota is shared between all devices registered to the account (except for free cloud storage, which is tied to the licensed resource). To use Acronis Cloud Storage, an Acronis Cyber Protect license is required.
