Among our many Wi-Fi projects, we’d like to introduce you to an installation we commissioned for a customer.
Our customer, a 90-apartment residence, has a Wi-Fi network that supports Internet connections, sick calls and internal telephony.
Their initial infrastructure consisted of access points supplied by the manufacturer Hewlett Packard (these access points are managed by a controller to which all the antennas are connected).
With the growing needs of residents and visitors (especially in terms of video traffic: youtube, TV, replay, etc.), the current infrastructure was beginning to be undersized.
The solution we proposed
In this case, we recommend an Aruba Instant installation, with an access point installed in each apartment of the residence.
The Hewlett Packard antennas will continue to operate, and will be dedicated to alarms and telephony, while the Aruba Wi-Fi network will be dedicated exclusively to residents’ Internet connections.
The two networks will therefore be independent, enabling better management and distribution of the data flow.
With Aruba Instant, there’s no need to install a controller.
