It’s official: small businesses can now benefit from Microsoft’s GenAI copilot, which has been integrated into the M365 suite.
Users of Microsoft office products can also obtain a paid version of this AI assistant.
Microsoft has announced the general availability of the Copilot app on Android and iOS platforms.
Finally, Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now available to businesses of all sizes, from VSEs to large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Copilot for Microsoft 365 is available for organizations of all sizes.
If Copilot Pro is best for home users, Copilot for Microsoft 365 is best for businesses.
Copilot for Microsoft 365 has been available to a limited number of businesses since last November, but is now available to organizations of all sizes with a minimum number of licenses.
Here are the updates announced by Microsoft on January 15, 2024
- With Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Business Standard plans, Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now available for small businesses.
Between 1 and 299 licenses can be purchased by customers for $30 per user per month. - The minimum purchase of 300 enterprise licenses has been removed, and Copilot is now available for Office 365 E3 and E5 customers . Previously, a Microsoft 365 license was required.
This is no longer the case. - Enterprise customers can now purchase Copilot for Microsoft 365 via their Microsoft cloud solutions provider.

Copilot M365 highlights

For users who want an enriched experience, Microsoft is also announcing the availability of Copilot Pro, a new subscription-based offering that provides access to Copilot’s most advanced features and capabilities.
Copilot Pro enables you to gain in performance, productivity and creativity, whether you need advanced help with writing, coding, design, research or learning.
Copilot Pro offers
- a unified AI experience that works across all your devices to deliver the right skills when you need them.
- Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers can access Copilot in Word, Excel (currently in preview), PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote on PC, Mac and iPad.
- priority access to the latest models, starting with OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo.
During peak times, with Copilot Pro, you’ll have access to GPT-4 Turbo for faster performance and, soon, the ability to switch between models to optimize your experience as you wish. - improved AI-based image generation with Image Creator from Designer (formerly Bing Image Creator), which guarantees greater speed with 100 uses per day, while offering more detailed image quality and a landscape image format (square format until now).
- the new Copilot GPT Builder (coming soon) lets you create your own Copilot GPT, a customized Copilot adapted to a particular subject, with a simple series of instructions.
New Copilot features announced by Microsoft
Microsoft continues to offer a free experience for anyone interested in discovering how Copilot can transform productivity and creativity through AI.
Here are the additional updates for Copilot:
- Copilot GPT – Copilot GPTs let you tailor Microsoft Copilot’s behavior to a specific topic.
Starting today, a first series of Copilot GPTs on specific topics such as fitness, travel, cooking and others will begin to roll out.
Copilot Pro users will soon be able to create their own Copilot GPTs with Copilot GPT Builder. - Copilot Mobile App – Copilot Mobile App is currently available for Android and iOS devices.
Because your Copilot queries and discussions are synchronized between your phone and PC, the Copilot app lets you benefit from its power on the move.
Copilot’s mobile app offers the same functionality as Copilot on your PC, including access to GPT-4 and Dall-E 3 image creation and the ability to use images from your phone when chatting with Copilot.
Download the application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. - Copilot in the Microsoft 365 mobile app – For users with a Microsoft account, Copilot has been added to the Microsoft 365 mobile app for Android and iOS.
Over the coming month, this new feature will be implemented.
Access Copilot directly in the app and easily export the content created to a Word or PDF document.
