Two years ago, Edward Snowden revealed the programs put in place by the NSA, which he claimed were spying on confidential user data on the web.
Following this global buzz, an interesting question arises:

“Have we changed our web habits as a result?”

Visit Pew Research Center also asked the question, and published a study on the new habits of Americans in the wake of the Snowden phenomenon.
Here is an extract:

  • 30% of Americans have taken this information to heart, and have taken steps to review their privacy policies, whether for social networking, e-mail or Google search, for example.
  • 46% of Americans say they are not really concerned by this information and find government surveillance programs legitimate.

Privacy & security

Cette étude montre que malgré le fait d’être au courant d’être surveillé par le gouvernement, la majorité des américains ne sont pas inquiets par rapport à ces mesures.
