Mark Zuckerberg’s company is preparing the official release of its new Facebook at Work product, before the end of the year.
This is a professional version of the famous Facebook platform.

A corporate version of Facebook

Facebook at Work has long been used internally by employees of the Menlo Park company.
The platform has also been tested by a number of large companies, which seem to be satisfied with it.
Heineken, for example, which has tried it out, plans to extend access to the platform to 500 employees, whereas today only 40 managers have access.
By the end of the year, all companies could be equipped with this new application.
Facebook at Work is ad-free, and enables company employees to exchange, edit and share documents, as well as organize professional events such as conferences, lunches with colleagues and so on.
The platform will be offered as a freemium version, meaning that the application can be accessed free of charge, but not all its functions.

Facebook at Work: all benefits?

With this new application, Mark Zuckerberg’s company is offering companies an innovative tool for professional collaboration.
And the first asset of this enterprise social network is its interface, which is already familiar to users.
No training is required to use it, which can be a considerable advantage for companies.
Anyone can get up and running right away.
On the other hand, as the pro version offers the same interface as a personal Facebook page, employees may be tempted to switch between the two easily and with a single click.
This is perceived by companies as a loss of productivity.
For companies tempted to adopt this tool, Facebook at Work should be available before the end of 2015.
