Starting this week, Microsoft is updating all Hotmail accounts, migrating them to Outlook.com. 
As a reminder, the Outlook.com service was introduced last October.
According to Microsoft, it already has 60 million users worldwide.
Outlook.com is close to a service like Google Gmail.
For Hotmail customers, the transition is said to be simple and instantaneous.
With a more intuitive e-mail service, new features and improved performance, Microsoft believes that users will be the winners.
