The Group’s IT needs and why they chose Infologo

The IT managers at Agro Companies Intl.
gradually became aware of the lack of rigor and seriousness of the IT service provider managing their entire infrastructure.
They felt inadequately protected and vulnerable in terms of cybersecurity.
The answers to the many questions Agro Companies Intl.
management (where are the back-ups, what is the recovery time, etc, etc.) were, when they existed, incomplete and unsatisfactory.
It was therefore decided to call in an independent service provider – Cybersafe – to carry out an audit.
The shortcomings in cybersecurity prompted the Group’s IT managers to take swift action to improve the overall level of IT security.
A new, more responsive, proactive and professional service provider had to be found.
We had to reduce the dangerous dependence on one (or two) people who were virtually the sole holders of all key information.
Rachel Boubet, Chairman of the Board, not only wanted better infrastructure management and more security, she also wanted to evolve the IT system and restructure it fundamentally.
The process of finding a new Geneva-based IT service provider that best met the identified needs was launched in February 2020, concomitant with the arrival of covid.
Recommended by one of our customers, Rachel Boubet then contacted us.

Solutions implemented

In August 2020, we were able to take over operation of the Group’s IT system in Geneva and Montreal, where we can rely on a local IT relay.
To meet Agro Companies’ needs in the best possible way, we offered them a managed services contract for the entire IT infrastructure.
This includes :

  • A packaged offer of IT services, including structured service, support and helpdesk.
  • Services for cybersecurity issues:
    • Microlearning training with Riot Security
    • Phishing campaigns
    • Using Sophos MDR
  • Full migration to Microsoft 365 for better collaboration between the two offices and international partners.

The results to date

For 4 years now, Agro Companies Intl has entrusted the management of its IT services to our teams. The disappearance of in-house servers and the outsourcing of data to the Cloud have considerably simplified the daily lives of the Group’s employees, whether they are traveling or working from home. The migration to Cloud technology went off without a hitch. And this despite the constraints inherent in this kind of major change. The few employees who were more reluctant to change were supported and “reassured”. Martine Devaud also emphasizes the human side of Infologo’s technicians, who take the time to explain things clearly and without jargon. Another change noted and appreciated by the people in charge of the Group’s IT is that everything is managed, listed and inventoried correctly, and that their data can be easily located and retrieved. “It’s really reassuring,” assures Martine Devaud. Despite outsourcing our IT infrastructure, we retain real independence.” Martine Devaud, Group Office Manager at Agro Companies International SA. The Agro Companies Group was awarded the “Cybersafe” label in November 2023, a major achievement in cybersecurity.

What if I had to do it all over again?

“We’d definitely do it again. It’s a pleasure to work with Infologo’s very professional and human team. Achraf’s presence once a month in the Geneva offices is appreciated by all.”
