To better understand the concepts of iaas, paas and saas, let’s put them in context.
We can’t talk about these concepts without talking about cloud computing.
Here’s a list of the topics we’ll be covering:

Cloud computing

Cloud computing is a model that enables ubiquitous access to a range of IT resources via the Internet: networks, servers, storage, applications and services.
We could call it the off-site relocation of IT infrastructure, which in recent years has gone by the gentle name of cloud.
It is characterized by its great flexibility: depending on the user’s needs, it is possible to manage resources oneself or to call on a service provider to take care of them.
Its features include on-demand service, network access to resources and flexible resource pooling.

Cloud services

To help you understand, we’ve drawn up a diagram showing the three service models.
In black, what the user takes care of, in red, what the service provider manages for him.
