This is one of the questions your customers regularly ask you when they visit your premises.
WiFi has become an indispensable service for your visitors, just like a cup of coffee or a glass of water.

A growing need

Maslow WiFi pyramidMaslow’s Pyramid has been recognized as representing human needs.
The official scale is made up of the following needs:

  • Physiological: eating, drinking, breathing…
  • Safety
  • Of belonging, of love
  • Esteem and recognition
  • Fulfillment

In this pyramid, the need for WiFi is placed at the forefront of human needs, and humorously represents just how strong the need for WiFi and connection is in today’s society.

Tailored solutions

You’ve thought about it and wondered if you could give your visitors access to your internal WiFi…
Does your internal WiFi give you access to shared documents?
Your servers?
To your work?
It could.
Do you want your visitors to have access to this data?
Probably not…
Another unpleasant hypothesis.
Your guest’s computer is infected with a virus, and it’s infecting you.
Do you really know how the security of your WiFi network is managed?
To answer these questions, Aruba has developed simple WiFi Guest tools that can be configured and adapted to your specific needs.
These tools are clearly explained in the following video >>> Video <<< Here’s how it works:

  • After connecting to the company’s WiFi, the user is taken to a web page asking him to log in with his details: Name, Phone, Email, the name of your company Sponsor (the person who invited you) and the reason for your visit.
  • Once a guest has registered, the in-house WiFi administrator receives an e-mail alerting him or her that a guest is trying to connect to the WiFi network.
The administrator is then free to accept or reject the guest.
  • If the request is accepted, the user’s interface is updated and he/she accesses the company’s WiFi Guest to obtain an Internet connection.

Of course, the time during which you give access to your visitor can be defined in advance, and you can also remove someone from your WiFi Guest…

Multiple configurations

This is just one example.
With the Aruba Clearpass solution, the configurations of a WiFI Guest are multiple.
A guest can authenticate via a unique code, via his Facebook or Linkedin login, etc.
