Microsoft 365: new features for Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams

Among the new features currently being rolled out, the Microsoft Editor makes writing easier, thanks in particular to theintelligent assistance functionsoptimized by AI in Word.
This feature is also included in Outlook to optimize your e-mail writing.

In Excel, you can better manage your finances with Money.

Last but not least, Microsoft Teams has nothing to envy them, with new, optimized functionalities enabling you to better manage your professional and personal life on a single platform.

Microsoft 365: new subscription prices

Microsoft 365’s name change is also accompanied by new subscription offers.

The online Office suite remains available to free Microsoft account holders.
It is valid for 1 person and gives access to some of the new features offered by Microsoft 365, such as Microsoft Editor or PowerPoint Designer, with 5 GB of storage for backing up your documents on OneDrive and up to 15 GB on Outlook.

Two new paid plans have been introduced:

  • Microsoft 365 Personal: CHF 6.95 per month for 1 user,
  • Microsoft 365 Family: CHF 10.95 per month for up to 6 users.

These two premium versions give access to more advanced functionalities in the Office suite.

And what about data?

The data used by Microsoft 365 is not only more numerous, but also more confidential.
That’s why Microsoft is introducing OneDrive Personal Vault, a protected area where you can save your most important files.
This place remains separate with dual authentication.So everything confidential remains protected from unauthorized access and backs up automatically to prevent accidental deletions.

What will change for professionals?

For businesses too, rest assured, just a new name, but still benefit from the same Premium applications for the same price.

Office 365 Business Essentials > becomes Microsoft 365 Business Basic
Office 365 Business Premium > becomes Microsoft 365 Business Standard

What about Microsoft 365 Enterprise?

It doesn’t move.
Microsoft 365 Enterprise will continue to give you access to all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) from anywhere in the world and from any device (PC, tablet, mobile).
