choose Why Open Computing for repairable IT hardware

Why Open Computing: a Swiss brand committed to responsible IT hardware

Why Open Computing is more than just a hardware brand. Based in Prilly, near Lausanne, Switzerland, it embodies a vision of the future for the IT sector, advocating a sustainable and circular model. Why Open Computing equipment is designed to extend the lifecycle of devices, reducing the need to acquire new ones frequently.

By choosing Why Open Computing, companies invest in reliable, environmentally-friendly equipment, without compromising on quality.

Equipment built to last: the promise of 10 years of service life

One of Why Open Computing’s key commitments is to guarantee a 10-year lifespan for its equipment. This means that every laptop or desktop is designed with high-quality components to withstand intensive use over the long term.

This commitment meets the needs of companies wishing to invest in a solid, long-lasting IT infrastructure, without having to constantly renew their equipment.

A repairable model: spare parts are always available

Unlike many brands, where failure often means complete replacement, Why Open Computing offers a repairable model. In the event of a breakdown, the equipment is not thrown away, but repaired using spare parts that are readily available. This repairable model represents a significant step forward, reducing costs for businesses while at the same time reducing the environmental impact of IT equipment.

A choice to reduce the ecological footprint of your IT assets

The purchase of IT equipment has a very high ecological impact, especially if the equipment has to be replaced frequently. Thanks to Why Open Computing’s repair concept, companies can significantly reduce their electronic waste.

By choosing this model, they adopt a more environmentally-friendly approach, minimizing waste production and contributing to better resource management. In fact, some of our Infologo customers have seen a marked improvement in their ecological footprint by switching to Why Open Computing.

Why did Infologo choose Why Open Computing?

At Infologo, we chose to partner with Why Open Computing because of their forward-looking vision and the values they share with us.

Our commitment to sustainability and customer service aligns perfectly with Why Open Computing’s philosophy. This partnership enables us to offer our customers IT solutions that combine performance, longevity and respect for the environment.

Several of our technicians were able to test the use of certain equipment. Pascal Rajower gave us his first feedback on the use of a laptop PC.

I’ve been using it for over two months now and I have to say that it’s fully functional. The finish is good and it’s quite powerful for a 13th-generation Core i5 processor. The screen is bright and fast. Connectivity is adequate, with even a built-in network port. Unfortunately, I haven’t yet had time to test the battery life.

Negative points would perhaps be a keyboard that seems rather fragile, with small keys and veiling, even if this doesn’t affect the machine’s operation.

Conclusion

Why Open Computing represents a unique solution for companies concerned about their ecological impact and wishing to invest in sustainable IT equipment. By choosing Infologo as your reseller, you’re opting for trusted support and high-quality equipment designed to last and minimize waste.
