As you know, Swisscom is planning to switch all its services to IP (Internet Protocol) technology, to the detriment of traditional fixed-line telephony. With the end of analogue telephony scheduled for the end of 2017, the transition process is well underway, with around 50,000 people (both business and private customers) migrating to IP technology every month. By the end of 2015, more than a million users will be using IP-based telephony, i.e. almost half of all customers.

Why choose All IP over the traditional analog network?

Not only is it increasingly difficult and costly to support the traditional analog/ISDN infrastructure.
Older components are breaking down much more frequently, and spare parts and know-how are becoming increasingly scarce.
With All IP, the digitization of communication enables the adoption and appearance of new products that increase productivity.
What’s more, All IP is a prerequisite for the digitization of the economy as a whole.
With the migration to all-IP becoming almost inevitable, our parent company (VTX), in its white paper on the end of analog telephony, raises your awareness of the steps you need to take to ensure a smooth transition, and gives you an overview of the benefits to prepare you for the changes ahead.
