Before changing your PBX, let’s remember what a PABX and an IPBX are!
PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange)
The PABX (private automatic branch exchange) is, as its name suggests, a switch that automatically provides telephone connections between called and calling parties, both inside and outside the company.
These communications are limited to conventional telephone lines, known as analog lines.
The advantages of the PABX switchboard are its reliability and consistency, since call quality does not depend on the quality of the company’s Internet network.
The addition of a VoIP card enables this classic telephone system to adapt to VoIP lines.
Why change your PBX?
To save on telephone costs, it’s a good idea to change your PBX and choose an IPBX, which can transmit not only voice and sound, but also video.

What is an IPBX?
An IPBX (Internet Protocol Branch eXchange) is a telephone switchboard linked to the Internet network, with communications carried out via Internet protocol rather than analog lines, as with a PABX.
The price of an IPBX is higher than that of a PABX, but in the medium term you’ll make substantial savings on your telephone costs.
To benefit from the advantages of an IPBX, the quality of your company’s Internet network must be optimal.
