The Ramada Encore (EHLP) asked Infologo to provide a high-performance WiFi solution for their Event Center, Conference Center, as well as the hotel lobby, bar and restaurant.
The hotel needed to maintain its Geneva WiFi network at a certain level to ensure impeccable customer service and a competitive edge.
This installation represented a challenge both for its international business customers, who have a strong need for connection, and for families, who have changed their Internet habits over the years.
The connection had to be of superior quality, no matter where the customer was or what device they were using.

Mr. Laffont, can you tell us more about the Ramada’s Wi-Fi requirements?
The Hotel Ramada Encore offers its customers an event center and a conference center.
To ensure the loyalty of an increasingly demanding clientele, but also to win over new prospects, the hotel has realized just how important wireless Internet access services have become.
What are your views on the evolution of Wi-Fi offerings in your sector?
In recent years, with the explosion of mobile computers and smartphones, we’ve noticed that our Wi-Fi offering is becoming less efficient.
We were finding it difficult to provide quality service to a large number of guests at technology seminars, for example.
Many participants want simultaneous access to the web.
Ramada’s Sales and Marketing Department and IT team therefore decided to upgrade the existing infrastructure to a solution that was better suited to the new connectivity needs of users.
Can you tell us a little about Infologo’s technological response?
In response to our request, Infologo sent one of its engineers on site to carry out a site survey, the findings of which enabled us to determine precisely the type of equipment needed for a successful WiFi project with a high density of access points.
Then they proposed to work on a roaming-free WiFi network.
Based on a “Channel Blanket” architecture(more details on this technology). It was this extremely innovative and highly differentiating technology that made the difference and convinced us.
After several months of use, what’s the feedback?
To keep our customers satisfied, we have deployed this technology in several locations: our Event Center, Conference Center, lobby, bar and restaurant.
With over 30 access points and almost 100 antennas, coverage is extremely high performance.
What’s more, a point that may seem anecdotal, but simplifies the user experience: the proposed solution authorizes access with the same credentials from the event center, conference center, lobby, bar and restaurant.

What about in the event of heavy traffic and high Wi-Fi demand?
In the event of heavy traffic, the system responds correctly. Since implementing this solution, we’ve had a number of well-attended events, including the Electroplast trade show, a Microsoft conference, a Raiffeisen conference, and the Communica trade show. Feedback from users and exhibition organizers has been very positive.
As for the management of the IT project, I appreciated the support and implementation of the project from the Infologo technical department, as well as from the sales department, which remained in communication throughout the development of the project. In conclusion, Ramada management is fully satisfied with the project.
